
Tu Du Hospital has reported 28 cases of swine flu in June
After two days, his family wanted to bring him home upon seeing that his condition hadn't improved. On June 26, Le Quoc Hung, head of the hospital's department of tropical diseases, announced that the patient had died at home.
Seven other patients with A/H1N1 are still being treated at Cho Ray Hospital, one of them was transferred from Ninh Thuan Province under critical condition. He is also diagnosed with lupus. The first case was detected at Cho Ray Hospital on June 11. Since then, they have treated at least 24 cases.
There are 10,000 in and out-patients treated at the hospital on a daily basis. Cho Ray Hospital regularly has over 20,000 people on site if the staff is included. That's why the risk of catching the flu is very high. The hospital has to set up a steering committee to control the situation.
Since early June, Tu Du Hospital has reported 28 cases of swine flu after noticing that many patients and their relatives had fevers. Eight patients are the hospital staff. The situation has been controlled.
