The Ministry of Public Security received a request from the Chinese Ministry of Security to jointly co-operate on the arrest of Du Rong Ming, 47, from Shanghai who was suspected of having fled to Vietnam.

After efforts for the investigation, Du Rong Ming was arrested at Danang International Airport around midnight of June 23. He was handed over to Chinese police on June 25.
According to the Chinese police, Du Rong Ming was being arrested for bribery in a bond transaction case.
Ming previously hid in the US, Thailand and Malaysia before arriving in Vietnam.
