The Da Nang People’s Committee has launched a 2018 Tourism Development Project, focusing on hospitality services, improvements to the quality of tourism products, and tightening the management of accommodations, travel agencies, and tourist sites. Aside from attending domestic and international tourism fairs and receiving farm-trips to promote tourism, Da Nang city has cooperated with other localities to establish overseas liaisons.
“Da Nang – Summer Destination 2018” will be held on June 16 at Bien Dong park.
Ngo Quang Vinh, Director of Da Nang’s Tourism Department, said, “We have refreshed the program with new activities. We’ll have a more culinary festival with the involvement of airlines and travel agencies. A film screening and an environmental protection campaign will introduce tourists to our available infrastructure for hosting international events.”
The RoK Tourism Organization said 9.66 million Korean tourists travelled abroad in the first 4 months of the year, an increase of 13.4% against the same period last year. A majority of them visited Da Nang city. The Central City welcomed 6.6 million tourists last year and aims to receive 8 million tourists this year, including 2 million foreigners.
