The incident happened at around 6:30 this morning, May 10, at a house on Dam Quang Trung Street under Vinh Tuy Bridge. The flames were so violent that the resulting column of smoke rose tens of metres into the air.
The fire suddenly broke out at a three-floor floor in Hanoi’s Long Bien District (photo by VOV)
The store sold blankets, pillows and mattresses. Next to it are some shops and restaurants.
Dozens of fire fighters attended the scene, bringing the fire under control after nearly an hour.
A 90-year-old woman died in the case.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
