Most of Vietnam’s popular tourist destinations have been crowded during the long Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holiday.

At Yen Son Park in Hanoi, people went camping. Many families said that they had to book some days in advance.


The same situation was seen at Thu Le Zoo in the city when thousands of people flocked to.


On the morning of April 30, the road to Cat Ba Island faced the serious traffic congestion due to the sharp increase in the number of tourists and 5-kilometre tailback. Around 40,000 people visited the island.


On May 1, many queued for hours to buy cable car tickets to visit Mount Fansipan in Sapa.


During the holidays, Sam Son Beach in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa Province attracted tens of thousands of visitors.


On the evening of April 30, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street area in HCM City was crowded as people rushed to see firework displays to mark the Reunification Day.
