A poor man in the central province of Ha Tinh is calling for financial support to help his ailing children after his wife’s death.
Nguyen Van Tu in Thach Ha District is now taking care of the two children who are both facing dangerous diseases. His daughter Nguyen Thi Tham, 15, is suffering from lupus, while his son Nguyen Bao Phuc, 7, is living with glandular tuberculosis.

His wife Nguyen Thi Ha died of heart problems late last year. She suffered from the disease for many years. He had to borrow money from relatives to hold a funeral for his wife.
His daughter had to leave school to stay at home due to her disease. Doctors said that she needs an urgent treatment, but the family was so poor to cover the fees.
Glandular tuberculosis often causes his son pain. He may need an operation.

The father feels powerless as he couldn't even take his children to hospital for medical check-ups.
