Cold spell to cause rains in the north
Dr Hoang Phuc lam, head of the Long and Medium-Term Forecast Department, said it was highly likely that a new cold spell would arrive from April 6 and cause widespread rains and strong winds in early morning. Such weather may cause congestion during rush hours and badly affect the health of children in kindergartens and primary schools.
"North Central Coast will have thunderstorms on April 6 and 7 and the Central Region will have rains on April 7 and 8," he said.
Travellers are warned to find shelters during heavy rains or thunderstorms to avoid possible whirlwind during the change of seasons.
The weather in Hanoi will not drop too low and stay at 22 degrees during the day and 15 degrees at night.
