US naval officers have had a music performance in Danang during an on-going visit to the central city.
US Navy vessels, including the carrier USS Carl Vinson, the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain and the destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer, arrived in Danang on the morning of March 5.

On the evening of March 5, US naval officials performed exciting songs at Dragon Bridge area in Son Tra District in both Vietnamese and English. Among those is the song Noi vong tay lon or Great Circle of Vietnam by Vietnam’s late famous Trinh Cong Son.
The show attracted great attention from many local people and tourists.
Emily Kershaw, who attended the performance, said that this was the second time she came to Danang and she was really impressed by the friendliness of people there.

After being live streamed by US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink on his Facebook page, the performance clip has attracted thousands of likes and comments as well as shares.
US officers and sailors have also joined others community activities in Danang such as sports exchange and visits to SOS children’s village, the Sponsor Centre for Agent Orange Victims, the Nursing Centre for the Mentally Ill, the Social Sponsorship Centre, and the Centre for Orphan Children.
