A man in the southern province of Vinh Long is struggling with serious injuries and has gone blind after a traffic accident, while his family is so poor to cover the treatment.
One year ago, Pham Minh Luan, 28, met with a traffic accident, causing him traumatic brain and thigh injuries. The traumatic brain injury’s complication has made him blind.

Doctors at Cho Ray Hospital in HCM City said that he needs an urgent surgery for thigh injury which cost more than VND20 million, but his family can’t afford it. Earlier, the family borrowed more than VND100 million (USD4,545) for hospital fees.
Every day, Luan’s mother tries to work for a construction site to earn money while his younger brother had to leave school to care for him.
Luan’s wife has come to Phu Quoc to sell noodles to earn money, so she had to send her children, one aged three and other aged two, to her own parents to be taken care of.
