Police in HCM City have arrested and prosecuted the owner of a local nursery for abusing children.
Some days ago, local Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper published a video which showed three teachers at Mam Xanh Nursery in District 12 mistreating the children.
They slapped, kicked, punched the children and also threatened them with a knife. The nursery has around 30 children.
On the evening of November 27, HCM City police arrested the nursery owner Pham Thi My Linh, 43, for the mistreatment of the children.

Two other babysitters, Quynh and Dao have also been identified in the video. The police are investigating their role further.
At the police station, Linh admitted her actions. She explained that the children were too playful so she had to force them to be obedient.
The children who were being mistreated have been provided with medical check-ups.
