The VND940 billion (USD45 million) bridge is the second across Nhat Le River. It will link Dong Hoi City with Bao Ninh Commune.

The two-lane Nhat Le 2 Bridge is 2 kilometres long and 23.6 metres wide.
Speaking at the opening ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of Quang Binh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai said that the bridge is expected to boost the provincial socio-economic development and it would be tourist site.
Work on the bridge was started in August 2012 and was opened on time as scheduled, he noted.
The new bridge is some 3 kilometres from the current Nhat Le 1 Bridge.
