An American man has died while undergoing liposuction at a clinic in HCM City local police said.

An American man has died while undergoing liposuction at a clinic in HCM City local police said.

Police investigates the death of an American man while having cosmetic surgery at Viet Thanh Beauty Clinic in HCM City on July 19.

According to a report by police in District 10, the man in his sixties visited the Viet Thanh Beauty Clinic at 565 Su Van Hanh Street in District 10 on Wednesday morning to get liposuction.

But shortly after the staff at the clinic gave him an injection before the surgery, the man suddenly had convulsions and fainted.

Despite getting emergency aid from the doctors here, the man died at 5 pm the same day, said the report.

The man's body has been taken to HCM City Forensic Medicine Centre for investigation.
