Thirty contestants enter final round of Miss ASEAN Friendship

The final round of the 2017 Miss ASEAN Friendship contest will take place from June 15 to July 2 in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province, featuring the participation of 30 contestants from ASEAN countries.

During the final round, the participants will compete in secondary categories including bikini and traditional costume modeling and a talent show.

In addition, they will visit local landscapes and relic sites, experience the local cultural characteristics and cuisine and join recording activities to promote the beauty of the coastal city of Tuy Hoa, as well as taking part in social welfare activities.

The final night and the awards ceremony will be held on July 1, at Sao Mai Theatre in Tuy Hoa city, featuring the participation of Misses and famous artists and singers from around the country.

The Miss ASEAN Friendship contest aims to honour the beauty of women, as well as seeking people representing the spirit of friendship and peace among ASEAN member countries.

The event also contributes to promoting the image of the land and people of Vietnam, particularly Phu Yen province, to countries in ASEAN and around the world.

The 2017 contest is part of the activities to celebrate 50th anniversary of ASEAN establishment (August 8, 1967 – 2017).
