A large number of products made from wild animals were seized on April 27

Nguyen Mau Chien, 47, and Nguyen Van Tung, 34, were charged with illegally trading a large number of products made from wild animals from Africa to Vietnam.

On April 27, Chien, who is believed as the ring's leader, and Tung were caught while transporting 36 kilos of rhino horns, two frozen tigers and some products made from other wild animals including elephants and lions on a train to Hanoi.

Chien said that they bought the stuff from Africa, transporting by air to Malaysia and HCM City and then by train to sell in Hanoi.

According to Hanoi police, Chien may be an important link in a much bigger wild animal trading ring. Police are expanding the investigation.
