The oldest brother is 19 and the youngest is 14 years old.
14 years ago, their father tried to cross a railway track and was killed. Then six months ago, a tree suddenly fell on their mother when she was working in a field. They borrowed money and went to various hospitals but their mother died over a month ago.
The siblings face hardship after their mother died
Nguyen Van Nhan, the eldest brother decided to drop out of schools as they are owe VND20m (USD880) in debts. Nguyen Hong Nhung, his sister, also dropped out to help him repay their debts and raise their youngest brother."We still want to return to school," Nhan said. "If it's impossible, I want to go to vocational school to find better jobs. But our situation is too difficult, it's only a wish."
Nguyen Van Thang, vice chairman of Duc Lien Commune said, "Even when their mother was alive, their situation was already very difficult. Now when she's gone, they face even more hardships. I hope kind people will help them to continue their studies."
