The event, which was organised by the Bulgarian Embassy in Hanoi and Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association, is to celebrate Bulgarian National Day March 3 and International Women's Day on March 8.
More than 1,000 rose trees of over 300 different varieties were displayed on an area of 6,000 square metres of the park.
Many old rose trees from the mountainous provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lang Son are also on display.
The beautiful roses attracted lots of visitors.
Activities planned for the event include a rose exhibition, street festival, rose parade, music and food events, a rose queen beauty contest and talk show among others.
A drum performance, lion dance, flash mob dance and balloon release are also on the agenda for the opening ceremony. Special gifts include 500 cosmetic samples made from oil-bearing roses will also be given out to guests during the event.
The festival will last until March 8.
