Rains will fall in the southern region on the night of February 10.
At the moment, the water level of Sai Gon and Dong Nai River is low but it is forecasted that the water level at Phu An monitoring station on Sai Gon River and Nha Be station on Dong Dien Canal will rise to 1.45 metres on February 12 and 13 due to high tides.
As a result, low-lying parts of the city will be flooded.

HCM City is struggling to deal with flooding
HCM City authorities approved an anti-flooding plan for the 2016-2021 period last May including the use of USD400m from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In addition, the city also called for an additional USD37m to build six water quality monitoring stations and embankments along the Tham Luong, Ben Cat and Nuoc Len canals.
