Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Ltd. Co. has got a licence from Hanoi authorities to double its investment in the city.
Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung on January 24 granted the adjusted investment licence of 50 years to Coca-Cola Vietnam.

The firm will double its investment to over VND12.21 trillion(USD537.37 million) and produce 790 million litres and over 1.2 billion litres annually by 2024, and 2030, respectively.
Chung acknowledged the contributions of US investors, including Coca-Cola Vietnam to the socio-economic development of the capital city.
He also noted that Hanoi will support investors, create favourable conditions for them, including Coca-Cola.
Hanoi attracted a total registered foreign direct investment of USD3.11 billion, nearly triple the 2015 figure.
To date, Hanoi has licensed 103 projects for US investors with a total registered capital of USD239.3 million, making up 1% of the city’s FDI.
Coca-Cola Vietnam began its operation in Duyen Thai Commune, Thuong Tin District, Hanoi in 1994.
