A nearly-blind mother in Thanh Hoa Province is in desperate need of financial support to treat her son's leukaemia as her husband is paralysed.
Dao Thi Minh, born in 1986, had to go through five cataract operations since she was six years old and her vision is now 1/10. In 2007, Minh fell into severe depression. After her health was stable again in 2014, Minh got married and had a son.

Unfortunately, her husband broke his leg and was paralysed after a labour accident. While her son, Dao Bui Tuan Vu, at the age of one, was diagnosed with leukaemia.
At first, everyone thought he had a fever because his teeth was growing but the fever didn't get better. He was diagnosed with a blood infection at Thanh Hoa Province Paediatric Hospital with signs of cancer. He was diagnosed with leukaemia at Vietnam National Hospital of Paediatrics in Hanoi.

With poor eyesight, Minh can't take care of her husband or her son, she can only depend on her old parents and parents-in-law.
Nguyen Thi Yen, Minh's mother, said, "The boy needs several medicines that are not covered by health insurance. We can't afford to stay in Hanoi so we transferred him to Thanh Hoa Province Paediatric Hospital. His mother can visit him here and we can have time to go out and buy food or medicines. But we're getting older. What'll happen when we can't work anymore?"
