Flash flood has caused up to four deaths and injured three people in the southern-central province of Binh Dinh. Torrential rains have also flooded several provinces in central and southern-central Vietnam.
According to Binh Dinh Province’s Central Steering Board for Flood and Storm Control, heavy rains over the past two days have isolated many local areas, submerging nearly 4,000 houses and over 8,000 hectares of rice. The flood has damaged and swept away many dykes and irrigation works in the province.

Yellow apricot trees in An Nhon Town have been seriously inundated when it is two months for Tet to come. So, local people tried to bring the trees to safe places.
By yesterday afternoon, 20,000 pupils of 29 schools in many communes including Phuoc Thang, Phuoc Hoa, Phuoc Loc and Phuoc An in Binh Dinh Province were told to remain at home as the traffic routes are paralysed.
Meanwhile, Kim Thanh Village in Quang Ngai Province has also been isolated by floods as roads to the village have been left deep under water.
According to the National Centre for Hydro- meteorological Forecasting, heavy downpours will continue hitting localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Binh Dinh until late tomorrow afternoon, December 3. Quang Nam and Binh Dinh are forecast to see the most torrential rains.
