Cuong said it’s the newest service for tourists in Hoi An City, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary and Chàm Island.
He said the flight will go between Hội An and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary in Duy Xuyên district, offering a bird’s eye view for tourists of rural areas, beaches, Hoi An and old Chăm towers in Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary.
Cường said the Sài Gòn Star company will operate the tour as a regular service from next year.
Balloon flights were featured in the biennial cultural event Huế Festival in May, and at the fifth Asian Beach Games in Đà Nẵng in October.
The service aims to lure more tourists to the two UNESCO-recognised world heritages – Hoi An town and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary – and the world biosphere of Chàm Island.
Last year, the Hoi An Eco-tour Company and the Centre for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies also offered tours of nipa palm forests and opportunities to participate in afforestation efforts.
Bamboo traditional crafts tours were also launched in the village along with farm tours in Trà Quế and Cẩm Châu garden farm.
More than 2.6 million tourists have visited Hoi An in the first 10 months of this year, a 17.92 per cent increase in comparison to last year.
