Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Tran Dai Quang, and Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh visited the Cuban Embassy in Hanoi to pay tribute to former Cuban President Fidel Castro Ruz.

The Party chief expressed his deep sentiment and sorrow for comrade Fidel Castro in a funeral book.
“Bright life and immortal career of comrade Fidel Castro would exist forever in the glorious revolutionary cause of Cuban people and nations which are struggling to build an equal, civilized, democratic, prosperous and happy world,” the Party leader wrote.
Mr. Fidel Castro Ruz was the Cuban revolutionary leader and close brotherhood comrade of Vietnamese people. He stood by Vietnam during the hard fight for national independence and unity and nation building.
The same day, State President Tran Dai Quang conveyed the deepest condolence to the Party, State, people of Cuba and his relatives.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam reaffirmed the consistent solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and were determined to cementing and deepening the special, comprehensively cooperative, and wholly faithful brotherhood between Vietnam and Cuba.
