Defence Minister attends ADMM Retreat in Laos

Vietnamese delegates are due to attend an informal meeting of ASEAN-Japan defence ministers.

The delegation’s participation in the event demonstrates Vietnam’s active, proactive and responsible role within the framework of the ADMM and the ASEAN Defence Minister’s Meeting Plus (ADMM+) to speed up the implementation of initiatives within the ASEAN Defence cooperation framework.

Vietnam has continuously backed Laos’ ASEAN Chairmanship as a contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two nations’ armies and people.
