Another cold spell to hit the north
Hoang Duc Cuong, head of National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said the cold air in the north is moving south and will affect the northern regions of Vietnam from November 8. The northern central coastal area will also be affected.
Temperatures in mountainous areas will drop to 16-19 Celsius. Some locations may experience even colder temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius.
Strong winds and rains will fall sporadically in northern provinces and expand to coastal areas.
The Gulf of Tonkin and northern parts of the East Sea will have two-metre to four-metre waves.
