Flooding has turned streets in the old town of Hoi An into rivers, but a tragedy for many provides appeal to many foreign tourists.

On November 2-3, Hoi An was seriously submerged due to heavy rains and water discharged from local hydropower plant dams. The discharge caused the water level of Thu Bon and Hoai rivers to rise, flooding Hoi An town.

Lots of Hoi An’s streets were left under water, particularly Bach Dang where foreign visitors sit in boats sightseeing.
