Tran Thi Thu Ngan, who is studying hotel administration in Switzerland, has just been crowned Miss Vietnam Heritage Global 2016 on August 7 in Sam Son, Thanh Hoa City.

Tran Thi Thu Ngan crowned Miss Vietnam Heritage Global

Ngan, born in 1996 in Hai Phong City, is 1.70 metres tall and has measurements of 87-59-92.

In the semi-final round held in Quy Nhon City, Ngan is one of three most outstanding contestants and won the title of Miss Photogenic. Ngan studied in the UK and is fluent in both English and French. Ngan is also a goodwill ambassador for the Global Drowning Fund and has just been praised for her efforts over the last year.

 

Ngan won the prize of VND500m

During the Q&A session, she was asked, "In this time of global integration, do we need to preserve the Vietnamese culture and why?"

Ngan answered that, "Vietnamese culture and identity are the cores of our country from the past to the present. Integration or not, they are still the most important. We integrate, not dissolve."

Ngan was crowned Miss Vietnam Heritage Global and won the prize of VND500m (USD22,700). First runner-up, Pham Thuy Hang who was born in 1993 and studying hotel management in Switzerland, was awarded VND200m. And the second runner-up, Vo Quynh Giao, won VND100m. She was born in 1996 and is studying business in the US.
