Four-storey building collapsed in Hanoi, two killed

Two people were killed and three others injured when a four-storey old building suddenly collapsed at 3.15 on August 4 at 43 Cua Bac street in Hanoi.

Two people were killed and three others injured when a four-storey old building suddenly collapsed at 3.15  on August 4 at 43 Cua Bac street in Hanoi.

Rescue workers are trying to find the victims at the collapsed building on August 4 early morning

According to local people, the house, which was built in the 1980s, is now a nem (spring rolls) restaurant and all five victims are staff at the restaurant.

The last victim were found dead at 11.20am. Four victims have been recovered earlier but one of them died while the injured rushed to local hospital for treatment.

Hoang Quoc Dinh, chief of the Hanoi Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, told Dan Tri/DTiNews that seven other people were able to flee when the building collapsed.
