A Vietnamese flight had to land at Vientiane Airport in Laos due to bad weather while flying from Danang to Hanoi on June 7.
Vietnam Airlines flight VN168 took off at 4pm from Danang International Airport and headed to Hanoi. Two hours later, passengers were informed that they were being diverted to Vientiane because of really bad weather.
After landing, while many passengers were still bewildered by the experience, they were told that the weather had improved and the flight would took off to Hanoi in 15 minutes. The flight however was delayed after crew said the plane needed maintenance and refill.
Many people started to become agitated. Half an hour later, each passenger were only given a hamburger.
On 9.30pm, another notice came in that the plane had technical problem and need repairs so passengers were guided into the airport. Passengers said that slow reaction from the crew was unacceptable and had caused needless discomfort.
When it was informed that all troubles had been dealt with and the flight could continue to Hanoi at 10.45pm, only 40 passengers boarded the plane, the rest declaring they were not convinced at the safety of the flight. The captain was eventually called on to persuade the 100 passengers to board.
The plane finally arrived at Noi Bai Airport at 1.40am on June 8.
