A series of bombings claimed by the Islamic State group ripped through Brussels airport and a metro train on Tuesday, killing around 35 people and wounding over 200 in the latest attack in Europe.

Vietnam Airlines currently runs 29 flights a week to the Europe including 11 flights to Paris, eight to Frankfurt, five to London and five to Moscow.

According to the airline, there have been no changes in their flight schedules to the Europe. However, security has been alerted to the highest level on all the flights to the region to ensure passenger safety.

Vietnam Airlines has requested their branch offices there to closely co-operate with local authorities in carrying out safety measures. They are also intensifying the check-ups of passenger papers and luggage.

The carrier has also warned passengers travelling to Europe that it may take longer than usual for check-ins and exiting many European airports now as security has been tightened here since the terror attack.
