A new bus service running from Park 23-9 to Tan Son Nhat International Airport which starts operating today is intended to ease congestion at the airport.
The 63-seated route 109 bus will run the 10.4-kilometre route from 5.45 am to 2.30 am the next morning.
According to the Centre for Public Transport Management, bus 152 running between Trung Son Residential Area in Binh Chanh District to the airport has been operating for over 10 years. However the buses hasn’t attracted many passengers, especially tourists due to its poor service.
Therefore, the new bus route will hopefully encourage more use and curb the number of taxis that arrive at the airport.
The new bus route will run from through Le Lai, Pham Ngu Lao, Yersin, Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, Pasteur, Vo Thi Sau, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Nguyen Van Troi, Phan Dinh Giot, Truong Son roads and Tan Son Nhat Airport.
