Hanoi police are seeking for a man who caught on photo while urinating onto the divider with his car parked in the middle of a crowded street.
Parking and urinating in the middle of the street
The photo surfaced on the internet on February 23 and went viral. The photo shows the man parking his car in the middle of the street near the Huynh Thuc Khang-Lang Ha intersection. He went to the street divider then proceeded to urinate in broad day.
Many people criticised the man for his obscene and indecent actions. Some people speculated that the man might be too drunk to realise his surroundings.
Traffic Police Team 3 said they were verifying the facts and would search for the man as he had violated parking regulations but public urination was a matter for the local police.
Lawyer Pham Duc Thao from A Chau Viet Law Company, said, "If the case is true then the man violated Decree 167. People who urinate in public places face fines of VND100,000 to VND300,000 (USD4.50 to USD13.42)."
