Hanoi's streets have seen increasingly dense traffic and congestion as the lunar new year approaches.
On January 29, several intersections and streets suffered major traffic jams. Some motorbike riders turned around dangerously right at the foot of the overpass as they tried to avoid the crowded road ahead.
Better weather after days of rain also worsened the situation. Police were quickly sent to key locations to attempt to regulate traffic flow.
