An 11 year-old orphaned girl in Quang Nam Province is in desperate need of financial support to treat leukaemia.

Le Thi Phuong, the oldest of the three siblings, said they had sold most of the belongings in order to treat her mother's asthma but she died in 2010. Two years later, their father also died in a traffic accident.
The three sisters are living with their grandfather who is 83 years old and unable to work due to weak health. Phuong left her studies to find work after a first year at university and Le Thi Dung, her sister, dropped out at ninth grade to work at a textile factory.

"I was planning on studying the restaurant business for six months then finding better paid work. But my youngest sister, Le Thi Thao, suddenly fell sick," Phuong said.
Thao has been deaf and mute since birth. Doctors suggested Thao be taken to HCM City for more accurate diagnosis when she fell sick. Their neighbours donated VND10m for their journey. She was diagnosed with leukaemia.
Thao then returned to her home town and was admitted to Danang Hospital for Women and Children. Dr. Truong Thanh Tam said Thao's treatment included a bone marrow transplant after chemotherapy. However, her family is now struggling to meet its daily expenses and can't afford the hospital charges.
