Young teenager Tran Thi Huong from Quang Binh Province is in need of support to support two little brothers after her mother died.

The tragedy befell the family suddenly. Huong's mother fell on the way home when she was eight months pregnant. When she was brought to General Hospital in Tuyen Hoa District, she had already given birth to a baby boy, but died from blood loss.
Since Huong's grandmother is weak, 14 year-old Huong had to leave school to help her grandmother take care of her brother at the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital.

Dr. Ha Cong Thanh, said Huong's youngest brother's health was very weak. He said, "He had hypoglycemia and infections when being admitted. We suspect that he may have congenital heart disease too."
Huong said she wanted to continue studying to escape poverty. "But my dad has to work to pay the hospital charges and tuition for my second brother who is in sixth grade," she said.
