The magazine's editor-in-chief was ordered to return the license by November 11.

Various online newspapers have complained about articles being copied to Tri Viet 24h. Tri Viet 24h did not ask permission to use the articles, nor did it give attribution. But when other sites wanted to use articles from Tri Viet 24h, they had to credit Tri Viet 24h as the source.

On October 30, the license of Doanh Nhan, Doanh Nghiep va Thuong Hieu Magazine, issued in 2013, was withdrawn because it failed to meet operational requirements from the Ministry of Information and Communication.

The Vietnam Scientific Association of Development for Talents and Human Resources proposed on November 2 to halt operation of the Tri Viet 24h news site, as a deterrent to other sites.

Truong Minh Tuan, deputy minister of information and communication, said that copyright infringement was becoming more prevalent, and in the coming draft of law on the news media, regulations for such infringement will be added.
