Quang Binh Province Department of Education and Training has shut down Son Ca Kindergarten, where a 14 month-old boy allegedly abused, after finding the facility was not licensed.
The police are investigating the case
Son Ca Kindergarten have been in operation for over a year and received 95 children. However, Doan Duc Liem, director of the department, said they it did not have a business licence.
Tran Thi Sau, head of Dong Hoi City Department of Education and Training, said the kindergarten owners had applied for a permit but were refused because they had failed to meet the required conditions to open a kindergarten.
Liem ordered the kindergarten to be closed on October 6.

On the previous day, police started an investigation into allegations that a 14-month-old boy was abused by his carers. The boy's parents noticed bruises on his body and then checked the classroom's camera.
The teachers allegedly admitted to the police that they tied the boy's feet and hands and put cloth into his mouth because he would not eat or go to sleep.
