The collision happened at around 10:30 a.m. on October 5.
Poor visibility due to heavy rain was initially blamed for the head-on collision in Nongphet village, according to the Vietnamese Consulate General in Laos’s southern provinces.
All of the victims were brought to Quang Tri province in central Vietnam in the afternoon of the same day.
The Consulate General is currently working with local authorities to settle the incident.
