Fire swept through a paint storage depot in Danang, exploding containers hampering attempts to bring it under control.
The fire on July 15 at the Thanh Hoang Chau Co sent a pall of smoke over surrounding neighbourhoods.
Workers said one person was injured in the blaze.
Ngo Quang Hoang, the director of Thanh Hoang Chau, said the storage area contained boxes of paint, chemicals and construction material. He estimate damage at as much as VND10bn.
Hundreds of firefighters and police were called to the scene. Firemen said they had trouble reaching the seat of the fire because of exploding paint and chemicals.
The authorities cut electricity to the area and evacuated nearby residents.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control around 2pm.
