Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presents scholarships to 156 underprivileged children and children of war veterans and soldiers stationed on islands and in remote areas
She asked the centre’s doctors and nurses to provide enhanced care for all patients, especially war veterans.
The Vice President presented 60 gift sets to local Vietnamese heroic mothers, war veterans, and granted scholarships to 156 underprivileged children and children of war veterans and soldiers stationed on islands and in remote areas.She asked the local authorities to do their best to improve local living conditions, especially for those who rendered services to the nation.
On the same day, Vice President Doan visited and presented 30 gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids and families of martyrs in My Loc district, Nam Dinh province. She also presented 50 ‘Cung Em Toi Truong’ (Get Back to School) scholarships to children of war veterans and soldiers stationed on islands and remote areas in My Loc district.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Doan praised the children’s efforts and said she hopes the scholarships are used to encourage them to overcome difficulties and gain good academic results.
