Hoang Nam wins junior boys Double Wimbledon title

Nam and Sumit Nagal overcame Reilly Opelka and Akira Santillan 7 -6(4) 6-4 in the title clash that lasted 63 minutes.

Before competing in the final match, Nam and Nagal defeated Alex De Minaur (Australia)/ Yosuke Watanuki (Japan) 6-4, 7-5 in the first round and England pair Jonathan Gray/Ewan Moore 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the second round.

They beat Japanese pair Yusuke Takahashi and Jumpei Yamasaki 6-2, 6-3 in the quarter-finals.

Nam/Nagal outplayed No 5 seed Miomir Kecmanovic (Serbia) and Casper Ruud (Norway) 7-6, 3-6, 12-10 in the semi-final match that lasted two hours and 20 minutes to advance to the boys’ double finals.
