Vietnamese mangoes granted license to enter Japan

Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has granted a license to Vietnamese mangoes from Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province, to be imported to the Japanese market.

Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has granted a license to Vietnamese mangoes from Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province, to be imported to the Japanese market.

The information was confirmed by Director of Dong Nai’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Pham Minh Dao.

Currently, Xuan Loc district has a total mango production area of 54 hectares meeting VietGap.

Provincial leaders are to carry out projects to increase quality of products and meet VietGap and Global GAP standards in order to take full advantage of this opportunity.

During a recent fact-finding tour of fruit gardens in the province, a Japanese business delegation had high appreciation for the quality of mangoes there, and expressed a wish to import mangoes in huge volumes.
