A powerful windstorm hit HCM City on June 3, tearing off the roofs of dozens of homes and uprooting trees. There were no reports of injuries.

The storm hit at 3:00pm. More than 30 houses lost their roofs and the accompanying rains caused considerable damage to domestic goods.
Many trees and advertising billboards were blown down, blocking traffic already snarled in flooded streets.

Many streets seriously flooded
Households at Hiep Phu, Tang Nhon Phu A and Tang Nhon Phu B in District were among the worst affected. Authorities worked through the night to restore power supplies.
