Health Ministry wants the National Assembly to revisit 'right to die' debate 

Nguyen Huy Quang, head of the Health Ministry's legal department, said the proposal would be part of the ministry's recommendations to the National Assembly for the revised draft Civil Code.

The National Assembly in 2005 deferred a decision, saying the time was not right.

Only a few countries around the world allow euthanasia, including the Netherlands and several states in the United States.

While many doctors endorse the right of a terminal patient to end their lives, particularly when they are suffering and in constant pain, if they are caught offering any assistance they can be charged with murder.
