The French Embassy in Hanoi will sign an agreement with six Vietnamese companies on Wednesday (April 15) to fast-track visa approvals for Vietnamese travellers.

The agreement allows Hanoi Red Tour, Naci Travel, Hanoi Iso Tours, Hanoi Tourist, South Pacific Travel and Vietfoot Travel to offer simplified visa procedures.
Representing France at the signing ceremony will be the Minister of State in charge of foreign trade, the promotion of tourism and French nationals abroad, Matthias Fekl.
France has seen a strong increase in the number of Vietnamese tourists. In 2014, 24,269 Vietnamese people were granted visas, up 28.7 percent on 2013, including 11,000 tourism visas, up 62 percent year-on-year.
