Transport staff banned from drinking alcohol before and during working time
Transport Minister Dinh La Thang issued an instruction on the implementation of national policy to prevent the consequence of alcohol misuse in the transport industry.
“Drinking alcohol and beer before and during working time, at the workplace, during lunch on working days and during parties to treat guests are banned,” Thang said.
He also requested officials and staff of the ministry to strictly comply with regulation on alcohol levels when driving during their days off, when off duty and outside their workplaces.
Leaders of relevant agencies must widely disseminate the regulations to subordinates and closely supervise implementation.
