A father and his young son are battling cancer in Bac Giang Province and are in desperate need of financial help.
The boy is facing with bone cancer
Than Van Ba in Minh Duc Commune, Viet Yen District, is no longer able to work, leaving his wife Nguyen Thi Thoa the sole breadwinner.
Ba is battling advanced-stage lung cancer, while his nine-year-old son has been diagnosed with bone cancer.
Ba's son lost part of his jaw bone and has been undergoing painful chemotherapy.
The family has spent all its savings on medical bills and have borrowed heavily to pay hospital bills for the boy. They tried to sell their house, but could find no buyers because it has become associated with bad luck.

Thoa said her family has borrowed so much money she can't remember how much they owe, and they now rely on charity meals to eat.
Ba has determined to stop treatment for his own cancer so they can pay medical bills for their son.
