Many shops in Hanoi's Old Quarter have been found selling fake products to customers, including foreigner tourists.

Fake products revoked by the market management board
The Hanoi market management board conducted an inspection to find fake products at many shops in Hanoi Old Quarter on November 27.
They confiscated 1,071 items, including backpacks, bags and clothes with fake brand names. Most of the shops targeted foreign tourists, particularly backpackers.
The inspection was aimed to prevent and deal with sales of fake products and protect the image of the city.
The market management board plans to continue tightening control over business practices in the Old Quarter as Tet approaches.
