The event has attracted paragliders from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Athletes will compete in seven rounds, with point total calculated at the end.
The tournament is co-organised by the Vietnam Sports Administration, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh Province and Hanoi Paragliding Club.
