Vietnamese shooters qualify for 2016 Summer Olympics

In the men’s 50m slow fire pistol event at the International Sport Shooting Federation World Championships’ finals in Spain, Vinh placed fourth. Cuong ranked sixth in the men’s 10m air pistol.

In accordance with regulations, all top six shooters automatically qualify for the next Olympic Games.

This is the second time in a row the Vietnamese national shooting team will compete at the largest global event in the sport.

The 2016 Summer Olympics will take place August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
