The memorial service and commemoration ceremony for 18 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in a helicopter crash in the outskirts of Hanoi was held this morning in the capital city.
The memorial service for 18 soldiers was held on July 11 morning in Hanoi.
Many party and state leaders, officials from the Ministry of National Defense as well as relatives of the soldiers were in attendance at the Ministry of National Defense’s funeral hall for the ceremony this morning.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a representative from the funeral organising board recalled the accident which occurred on the morning of July 7. The crash killed 18 soldiers and seriously injured three others, who are still undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burns.
Doctors from the National Institute of Burns and several big hospitals in Hanoi held a meeting on July 9 to work out the best treatment methods for three soldiers who were severely burned in the recent helicopter crash.
On July 10, management agencies finished DNA tests to identify each solider.
